Shock! Rocket attack on Green District in Baghdad: 1 dead, 5 injured

A rocket attack targeting the sheltered, green area in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, reportedly killed one child and wounded 5 others.

7 Katyusha rockets fell on the Green area, where government mansions and the U.S. Embassy building in Baghdad are located, the media security network associated with the Iraqi Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.

4 of the Rockets fell in the Green area and others near the Medical Hospital in Baghdad and the Al-Zawra Garden, the statement said, adding that one child was killed and 5 others were injured as a result of the attack.

On October Dec 10, the group, which calls itself the Iraqi resistance, announced that it was halting its attacks to withdraw US troops from the country.
