Bad news for those who shut down their Facebook account

Significant development has occurred for the Messenger service, which is a Facebook service and can still be used without Facebook. From today, Facebook will be required to use the Messenger app. Those without Facebook accounts will not be able to use Messenger.

Facebook's popular messaging app, Messenger, was also available without a Facebook account after it was made available to users as a separate app from Facebook.

In other words, those who used the phone number could stay in touch via Messenger. But Facebook is preparing to change that with a new decision it has taken.

Connecting Facebook accounts to Messenger is becoming mandatory. In other words, “can I log in to Messenger without my Facebook account?" there is now a negative answer to his question.

The answer to this question was changed to “no, you need to create a Facebook account to use Messenger.”After this step, Messenger users will either have to create a Facebook account or activate it again; or they will have to use another alternative app.

But the main concern for users is the possibility of a similar requirement for WhatsApp. While it apparently has no direct connection to Facebook, the odds are slim that Facebook, which owns WhatsApp, could impose such an obligation.
