LAST MINUTES! Diplomatic note from Azerbaijan to France!

Breaking News; Azerbaijan summoned the French ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the French Senate's decision yesterday to recognize the so-called Armenian administration of Nagorno-Karabakh.


Azerbaijan handed the decision to France to the French ambassador, Zacharie Gross.

At not reported that the French Senate's decision was contrary to the United Nations (UN) Charter, the Helsinki Final Act, the relevant UN Security Council resolutions of 1993, and the norms and principles of international law.

"The decision adopted by the French Senate yesterday on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is an example of the disregard of the most basic principles of international law, legitimacy, and fairness for the sake of domestic policy considerations. In the decision, we completely reject the baseless claims expressed about Turkey," he said.

On 26 November this year, French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zakari Gros was called to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On November 25, the French Senate presented a note of protest to the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the adoption of the resolution “the need to recognize the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic”.

The French ambassador brought to the attention the decisive protest against this resolution of the Senate, which contradicts the norms and principles of international law, the UN Charter, the Helsinki Final Act, the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council of 1993.

The French ambassador said the position of the Azerbaijani foreign ministry would bring to Paris ' attention.
