Russia moves to defy World: ballistic missile drill under Putin

The Russian Defense Ministry conducted ballistic missile exercises under the command of President Putin. All of the exercises were completed successfully.



A major exercise was carried out with the participation of Russia's strategic nuclear forces, the Russian Navy, the Russian Air Force, and the Russian Ground Forces, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

BOMBERS HIT TARGETS


The exercise was conducted under the command of Russian President Vladimir Putin, while ballistic and cruise missiles were launched from the Plesetsk space base and the Barents Sea in the Arhangelsk region. During the exercise, Tu-160 and Tu-95MS bombers, which took off from Ukrainka Air Base and Engels Air Base, also hit pre-determined targets.

THE EXERCISES WERE COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY


In addition, ballistic missiles were launched from Kura training sites in Pemboy and Kamchatka in the Komi Republic of Russia and participated in the exercise. The Strategic Offensive Weapons reduction agreement (START-3), which is being negotiated between Russia and the United States for an extension, will end on February 5, 2021, while all of the exercises have been successfully completed.
